Total profit for my Spiderman winnings (including both posters): $83.57
Plus we got to see the movie FREE the day before it came out in theatres! Too bad the movie was a waste of my free time. No pun intended. J
Between us we made over $150 just for ENTERING THAT CONTEST!
Isn't this all so simple? You CAN and WILL win contestsif you enter them.
Theres no ifs ands or buts about it.
Other contests and how to win them:
CD Listening Parties:
Be on the lookout for CD listening parties held at the previously mentioned music stores. Often they have drawings for free merchandise such as full length CDs and rare memorabilia. Ive won everything from CDs and posters to a Halloween mask! Besides the fact that these events are typically empty (therefore boosting your chances of winning something), they usually have free food (always a plus in my book) and other freebies.
CD listening parties are usually advertised at the store where they will be held, as well as in local publications.
Radio Contests:
These are awesome. Although I dont enter too many since my cell phone (for some odd reason) wont connect to the radio stations in my area, my girlfriend wins these all the time. Id say she wins at least 1 every 1-2 months. Shes won concert tickets, CDs, hair care products, backstage passes, theater tickets, and a lot more!
The secret to winning radio contests is to use as many phones as possible. Get your friends to call if you have to! The prizes you can win can be worth tons on eBay, because theyre usually in-demand concert tickets.
Sometimes radio stations will sponsor contests out in the field, if you will.
For example: a few months ago a local radio station (93.1 DRQ) was having a contest at a local Dunkin Donuts (a donut shop). The main prize was a $1,000 shopping spree at a jeweler. But there were tons of consolation prizes. And the best part? EVERYONE who played won something.
